The Houses
Fortismere aims to transform lives and the House system supports this by promoting a sense of community and willingness to get involved amongst our students of all ages and backgrounds. There should be “something for everyone” at Fortismere and a culture of achievement, kindness and support can be created by an organised, enthusiastic and creative House team. The House system needs to have input and ownership from students providing them with opportunities for leadership, teamwork and growth.
Our Sports Captains work to drive participation and success in sports across the school and our House Captains and Ambassadors are involved in driving charity fundraising and promoting the Fortismere ethos. We are proud of what our students have to offer and appreciate the importance of our community.
An annual calendar of Inter-House Events provides a wide range of different activities for fun, friendly competition from debating to bake-off and creative writing to Rubik's cube challenges.
There are five Houses at Fortismere - Franklin, Keats, Selvon, Turing and Wollstonecraft comprising students from all year groups and led by a Head of House.
