Non Pratt Final Visit
On Monday 14th May, our Patron of Reading Non Pratt came in for her final visit of 2017-8 (can’t believe our first year with her has gone so quickly). I’m trying hard to make sure that as many students as possible meet her during her time at Fortismere and she is loving getting to know everyone. During this visit, she talked to our Year 9 students about friendship, about being good to each other and about how it’s not always easy to be the best at everything. She also ran a workshop which finished with the Year 9s writing a letter to their future selves, a kind of memory box letter. It was quite humbling and occasionally hilarious to see the ambitions of our students written down. They won’t be published, I promise (although they may be sold on eBay when all the actors and musicians become famous…)
