Up, Up and Away!
Students overcome their fears to climb the O2!
After a generous donation from the FSA to the Learning Mentors (thank you so much), we were pleased to be able to take some of our students on an exciting trip to the Greenwich Peninsula, London. The money enabled us to do a 360 degree ride on the Emirates Airline and climb (yes CLIMB, in the heat of 36 degrees!) ‘Up at the O2’! Our objectives were to enhance the students’ experience, to enhance their confidence, self-esteem and resilience, to challenge their ability and to work as a team. Afterwards, it was good to hear students saying they had conquered many of their fears! We hope that they will apply this feeling at school and in their daily lives now. All in all it was a brilliant, successful day. The students were a credit to our school – well done everyone!
