Teacher Design & Technology

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our high performing Design and Technology Department. Students are taught by an experienced and passionate team of specialist teachers, who work collaboratively to enable outstanding student progress in. We are looking to appoint a new member of the team who can join us to inspire, motivate and support our students to reach and exceed their potential; whilst developing knowledge, skills and empathy to take into the next stage of their lives. 

The successful candidate will be, or have the potential to be, an outstanding teacher. They will be required to teach at all Key Stages.

Fortismere is a high-attaining, mixed foundation secondary school in the heart of Muswell Hill, North London with a strong tradition of excellence. The Co-headteachers are looking to appoint an Design technology teacher on a permanent basis. Our school vision is one which sees education, and the opportunities we make available, as having the potential to transform the lives of our young people. The Technology Department is well placed in the school to achieve our shared vision – it is one of the leading departments in terms of both attainment and progress. The successful candidate will work with other post-holders to further improve the academic and extracurricular impact of the department across the school community and will put students at the heart of what they do maintaining outstanding results and progress of our students.

  • Committed to collaborative working and passionate about teaching
  • Have the ability to use formative and summative data to improve learning
