Teacher of Modern Languages – Spanish with French

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Modern Languages Department. Students are taught by an experienced and passionate team of specialist Language teachers who work collaboratively in this highly successful department. We offer French, Spanish and Mandarin up to Key Stage 5 and have a history of high academic standards. On top of a strong reputation for European languages, Fortismere is a leading school in the teaching of Mandarin. We are looking to appoint a new member of team who can join us to inspire, motivate and support our students to reach their potential and take the knowledge, skills and understanding we develop in them into the next stage of their lives.

The Co-headteachers are looking to appoint a Spanish with French Teacher on a full-time basis. Finch - Teaching Assistant 

Hours/Weeks: 36 hours per week x 42 weeks per annum. (Term time only)
Duration: Fixed term
Salary Scale: Scale 4

The Finch is seeking to appoint a highly motivated, student-centered individual to provide learning support & behaviour management to students within our Finch provision.

About You:

You will be experienced in providing support in an educational setting, either as a TA or mentor; you will support students to access their curriculum and other provision services. You may be asked to work with individuals in mentoring sessions or within a classroom, helping with tasks such as basic literacy and maths, and social interaction. You will be committed and resourceful and possess a sound/good knowledge of the barriers faced by students such as SEMH.

Site Assistant

Permanent

Working hours 36 P/W 52 Weeks per year

Actual Salary Range Scale 3 SP5-6 £27,030-£27,438

Fortismere is a high-attaining, mixed foundation secondary school in the heart of Muswell Hill, North London with a strong tradition of excellence. The Co-headteachers are looking to appoint a Site Assistant to join our Premises Team. The successful candidate will be resourceful, knowledgeable, and able maintain the highest standards of repair, cleanliness, and security in our busy school environment.

This an exciting opportunity to be part of the operations team working closely with the Director of Operations and Facilities Manager. You will need to ensure that the school buildings, site, and furnishings are safe, secure, and maintained to Health and Safety standards.

As a Site Assistant, you will also need to ensure the opening and closing of the school buildings, which will be managed on a rotational basis by the Site Manager between yourself and three other Site Assistants, so you must be flexible as hours could change to accommodate the needs of the school.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Knowledge of general maintenance of buildings, DIY, repairs and decoration, cleaning, and general porterage
  • A good level of understanding of Health and Safety regulations and how to apply them
  • A relevant qualification or working towards one in School Site Management
  • The ability to maintain a calm and productive manner with all stakeholders across the school
  • Have knowledge of Fire procedures, First Aid procedures and Health and Safety
